About the Role

Rawbought is seeking a motivated and organized Merchandiser to join our team in Singapore. This role is crucial for developing and executing sales strategies, managing product lifecycles, and ensuring seamless supply chain operations within the fashion apparel industry. You will be responsible for driving commercial priorities, analyzing market trends, and maintaining strong relationships with B2B customers and factories. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Singapore market, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives, with clear, measurable metrics.
  • Drive commercial priorities for key products and assist in pre-season planning.
  • Collaborate with teams to plan product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Compile detailed reports, conduct brand reviews, and provide actionable insights for business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance across all markets to ensure effective brand management and identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversee the entire product journey from development to sales execution.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Singapore market and potential emerging markets, aligning local and global strategies.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor pricing, and product innovations to adapt strategies.
  • Assess team competencies, provide feedback, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Coordinate product development plans with product developers to meet timelines and budget constraints.
  • Manage product costs and adhere to budget allocations.
  • Oversee the development of patterns or mock-ups for new product designs.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback for product improvement.
  • Manage the shipment and tracking of product samples between the company and factories.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for factories in Dhaka, ensuring alignment on product designs and manufacturing.
  • Liaise with B2B customers and operational functions to resolve issues and facilitate client needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with B2B customers through consistent communication.
  • Analyze sales data to drive net selling efficiently and effectively.
  • Support teams and stakeholders in understanding stock levels and sales performance.
  • Plan, analyze, and forecast stock levels.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and third-party logistics for timely stock delivery to consignment stores, pop-up shops, and exhibitions.
  • Work with production and factory teams to manage order lead times and track shipments.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and validate incoming stock against invoices.
  • Manage stock levels and delivery partners with external logistics and warehouse providers in Singapore.
  • Utilize data analysis and forecasting tools to derive actionable insights from sales data and trends.
  • Develop and execute projects to improve supply chain operations.
  • Provide feedback on commercial plans, including pricing, quantities, sales forecasts, and assortment.
  • Coordinate visually appealing merchandising concepts for stores and events with branding and marketing teams.
  • Style mannequins to showcase key looks and seasonal themes.
  • Ensure timely setup and execution of VM displays with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Launch new products on online platforms and inventory management systems.
  • Organize product photoshoots with relevant teams.
  • Assign tasks based on individual strengths and workloads, ensuring equitable distribution.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration within the team through regular meetings and updates.
  • Address team conflicts promptly and impartially.
  • Participate in weekly order picking and packing.
  • Liaise with delivery partners for delivery and collection matters.
  • Assist in setting up event pop-ups.
  • Promote products during events.
  • Assist in planning and executing photoshoots and media events.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Fashion.
  • 3 to 5 years of merchandising experience in the fashion apparel/manufacturing sector.
  • Previous experience in an in-house merchandising role, controlling, or similar eCommerce role is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Singapore market, including customer expectations, the retail/fashion industry, and competitors.
  • Self-starter with a motivated attitude, ability to learn and adapt quickly, and initiative-taking.
  • Organized and able to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong physical endurance and strength.
