About the Role

ALTEN Germany is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for their projects in Erlangen, Bavaria. This full-time, onsite position involves contributing to execution projects for power plants, focusing on decarbonized and hybrid solutions. You will manage mechanical subsystems and components, prepare technical specifications, and coordinate with various disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to execution projects for power plants, including decarbonized and hybrid solutions.
  • Take responsibility for mechanical subsystems and components such as cranes, lifting equipment, and elevators.
  • Prepare technical specifications and coordinate interfaces with related disciplines like steel, layout, and electrical engineering.
  • Review customer requirements, contractor documentation, and engineering deliverables.
  • Manage supplier performance concerning schedules, costs, and quality, including claim management.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and support design reviews and the preparation of customer documentation.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Possess initial experience in power generation or EPC project environments.
  • Have a solid understanding of power plant components and industrial energy systems.
  • Demonstrate ownership of scope, ensuring delivery in terms of budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Experience working in international and cross-cultural teams is essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.

Additional Information

Working hours are 35 per week.
