Role Overview
AZEK Exteriors is hiring a part-time Maintenance Support team member in Dahlonega, GA. This onsite role supports facility cleanliness, basic preventive maintenance, production-area readiness, and maintenance projects in an industrial setting. The position follows a rotating 10-hour shift pattern after training and includes hands-on exposure to maintenance and powder coating operations.
Shift Schedule
Week 1 runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Week 2 runs Saturday through Tuesday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Training is conducted Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM until the employee transitions into the 10-hour rotating schedule.
Compensation
The role pays $19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep Building 122 and connected production spaces clean to reduce dust and contamination risks.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists with at least 95% on-time completion.
- Carry out deeper cleaning before and after high-dust work or shutdown periods.
- Support routine inspections and light maintenance tasks under supervision, such as lubrication, visible filter checks, tightening, and general condition checks.
- Record inspection results accurately and escalate concerns as needed.
- Participate in weekend walk-throughs to check for leaks, safety concerns, and equipment readiness.
- Assist the maintenance team with work such as disassembly, reassembly, part replacement, and equipment calibration.
- Finish assigned work safely and correctly while keeping rework to fewer than 2 instances per month.
- Keep tools accounted for and maintain a tidy work area.
- Help ensure cleanliness standards are met to prevent foreign particle contamination, especially in powder coating areas.
- Work with QA/QC teams to resolve cleanliness-related issues within 48 hours.
- Attend all company-provided maintenance training sessions.
- Show progress through written and hands-on assessments according to the training plan.
- Learn mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system basics by shadowing experienced technicians.
- Build familiarity with powder coating equipment, basic troubleshooting, and contamination control.
- Track learning progress weekly and assist with basic troubleshooting under supervision within 90 days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Availability for flexible hours, rotating Saturdays, and weekend project support.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, remain on your feet for long periods, and work in an industrial environment.
- Strong focus on detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Prior exposure to industrial cleaning, janitorial, utility, or production support work is preferred.
- Interest in a skilled trades or maintenance career path is preferred.
