Job description
Role Overview
As a member of the Maintenance Section, you will help maintain high-performing manufacturing plants that use modern technology and advanced engineering controls. In this role, you will also support the Maintenance Manager in delivering key business goals for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct mechanical supervisors and external contractors in carrying out maintenance, plant changes, and construction-related work so tasks are completed on time, safely, and in line with sound maintenance standards without interrupting plant operations.
- Work closely with plant operators and other maintenance teams to execute maintenance and modification activities while protecting worker safety and safeguarding facility integrity.
- Perform mechanical assessments and implement plant facility changes based on technical requirements and business needs.
- Investigate equipment issues, analyze the findings, and propose corrective measures to help avoid repeat failures.
- Organize and deliver training for employees and contractors to improve capability and technical competency.
- Respond promptly to emergency plant calls and resolve mechanical problems within strict time constraints.
- Support the rollout and maintenance of management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 450001, and SS651 standards.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience maintaining mechanical facilities in the oil, petrochemical, or power sectors.
- Practical experience in diagnosing and repairing static and rotating equipment, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, agitators, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
- Competence in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP will be considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills for working with different functions and contractors.
- A collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills.
Additional Information
This position is based in Singapore and is a full-time, onsite role.
