Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s retail fulfillment and logistics operations. This role will serve as the primary owner of order fulfillment execution across all retail customers, eCommerce channels, distribution partners, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to solve day-to-day operational challenges and building scalable processes that support continued growth. As a key member of the Operations team, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for ensuring on-time, accurate, and cost-effective fulfillment while maintaining strong relationships with retail partners, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and will have the opportunity to build and lead a logistics team as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for fulfillment operations across all retail customers, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time while meeting retailer compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, establishing performance expectations, monitoring service levels, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee daily order fulfillment activities, proactively identifying and resolving shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, chargeback risks, routing issues, and customer service concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to retailer routing guides, OTIF requirements, EDI processes, labeling standards, and retailer-specific operational expectations.
  • Partner with supply chain and planning teams to maintain inventory visibility across warehouse locations, monitor stock levels, and support replenishment planning.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities, optimize transportation strategies, and manage carrier relationships to improve service and control costs.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain teams to support retailer launches, promotional activity, inventory planning, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs related to fulfillment accuracy, OTIF performance, freight spend, inventory health, order cycle times, and warehouse performance.
  • Build scalable logistics processes, workflows, and documentation that support business growth while improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, automate processes, reduce costs, and enhance retailer and customer satisfaction.
  • Initially operate as an individual contributor while laying the foundation for future team growth. Recruit, train, mentor, and manage logistics team members as the organization scales.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in logistics, fulfillment, supply chain, or operations management within a consumer packaged goods (CPG), household products, personal care, or related industry.
  • Proven experience managing retail fulfillment operations for major retailers and wholesale customers.
  • Strong experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, warehouses, freight carriers, and distribution partners.
  • Hands-on operator who is comfortable owning daily execution while simultaneously developing long-term process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of retailer compliance requirements, EDI transactions, routing guides, chargebacks, OTIF metrics, and retail supply chain best practices.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, EDI, and order management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive operational decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Effective communicator who can build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential with a desire and capability to build and manage a logistics team as the company grows.
