Logistics Coordinator (Railway Experience)

Overview

We are hiring a detail-oriented and self-driven Logistics Coordinator to support a railway project team in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on keeping materials, equipment, and other project resources moving efficiently so the project stays on schedule and operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the movement and delivery of project materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Keep inventory information up to date and maintain accurate logistics documentation.
• Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, and site personnel.
• Oversee customs processing, transport arrangements, and final delivery to site in a timely manner.
• Monitor shipment status and quickly handle any logistics issues that arise.
• Prepare reports, delivery timelines, and related logistics paperwork.
• Follow project standards, safety rules, and internal company procedures.
• Assist project teams with planning and coordinating day-to-day logistics tasks.

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, ideally within railway, infrastructure, or large construction environments.
• Good understanding of supply chain and transportation workflows.
• Hands-on experience managing both local and international shipments.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and logistics management software.
• Strong communication, coordination, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Able to perform effectively in a busy, deadline-driven project setting.
• Preferred background in railway, metro, or transport infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of UAE logistics rules and customs procedures is an advantage.
