Role Description
The Local Representative position is a full-time, on-site role based in Zambia. This individual will act as the main liaison for local clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and prompt responses to all inquiries. The role involves supporting project and service coordination, assisting with documentation and reporting, and providing regular updates to both regional and head office teams. Daily responsibilities include conducting site visits to clients as needed, collecting feedback from the market and customers, and aiding in the resolution of operational or service-related challenges. Furthermore, the position supports business development initiatives, represents the company at local gatherings or events, and ensures adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for effective engagement with clients, partners, authorities, and internal staff.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities, enabling efficient task prioritization and management of multiple activities in a demanding setting.
- Proficiency in generating clear reports, maintaining precise records, and performing essential administrative duties with meticulous attention to detail.
- A strong customer service orientation, coupled with problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing and escalating issues when necessary.
- Prior experience or familiarity with the telecommunications, technology services, or related industries is beneficial.
- Comfort and competence in utilizing standard digital tools such as email, spreadsheets, word processing software, and messaging applications for communication and reporting purposes.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local Zambian languages is considered an asset.
- Proven capacity to work autonomously on-site while maintaining effective collaboration with remote teams.
- A minimum of a secondary school education is required; a diploma or degree in business, communications, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Zambia and available for local travel as required for meetings and site visits.
