About the Role
Tesco Ireland is seeking a dedicated Line Manager for its Waterford location. This role is crucial in leading a department and its team to provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers. Key Accountabilities
- Guide and mentor your team to ensure outstanding customer service, maintain high standards, and guarantee product availability.
- Achieve all departmental key performance indicators.
- Empower your team through daily decision-making to facilitate their job functions.
- Oversee the training plan, ensuring colleagues are properly trained, validated, and possess up-to-date training records.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all departmental processes, routines, and system operations.
- Strategize and execute seasonal, trade-driving, and promotional activities for maximum sales and impact.
- Maintain responsibility for all safe and legal departmental routines, implementing corrective plans as needed.
- Ensure team members understand objectives, receive regular feedback and reviews, and have career development discussions with live Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
- Provide consistent coaching and feedback across the store to enhance team skills and customer experience.
- Foster an environment that encourages innovation and personal growth, modeling a culture where customers enjoy shopping and colleagues enjoy working.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Prioritizing the customer in all actions and decisions.
- Building customer rapport and serving with pride.
- Ensuring consistent product and service availability.
- Handling products with care to maintain quality.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in all store areas.
- Adhering to department routines, processes, and company policies, including Health and Safety.
- Supporting colleagues in other departments as needed.
