About the Role
TransUnion is looking for a senior DevOps leader to drive cloud-native engineering on Google Cloud Platform from its Pune office. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable platform capabilities for containerized applications, with a strong emphasis on automation, infrastructure design, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction for cloud-native environments and deliver complex, large-scale solutions.
- Own CI/CD pipeline strategy and operations, with hands-on use of Harness for automated build and release workflows.
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, including integration with Harness infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
- Administer secret management and sensitive data workflows through HashiCorp Vault.
- Work with Artifactory to manage build artifacts and software packages.
- Apply application security practices and act on findings from CheckMarxOne or equivalent security tools.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads in production, especially GKE clusters and container platforms.
- Create, deploy, and support applications using Helm charts.
- Use Wiz for cloud-native application protection, container security policies, and incident handling.
- Design and troubleshoot GCP networking, load balancing, traffic routing, and related topologies.
- Support Cloudflare-based edge and traffic management setups.
- Handle GCP compute resources and Google Cloud Storage for structured and unstructured data needs.
- Design, optimize, and operate PostgreSQL databases in high-availability environments.
- Implement identity and access management solutions using Ping and/or Keycloak.
- Manage API lifecycle, governance, and security through Kong APIM.
- Build monitoring and observability solutions using GCP native tools, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Translate high-level architecture into detailed low-level technical designs.
- Mentor team members, strengthen engineering practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate across functions to deliver secure, resilient, and business-aligned solutions.
Experience and Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical leadership roles.
- Strong background in cloud-native and containerized environments.
- Proven record of delivering complex solutions at scale.
- Advanced expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP, and DevOps practices.
- Practical knowledge of security, observability, networking, IAM, API management, and database operations.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
