Job description

About Solace

Solace is working to simplify a U.S. healthcare system that many people struggle to understand. The company supports patients by connecting them with skilled advocates who help them make informed choices and achieve better health outcomes. Founded in 2022, Solace is a Series C startup backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Its U.S.-based team is intentionally lean, mission-oriented, and expanding quickly.

The organization values speed, accuracy, and empathy, and this role is best suited to someone who wants to do demanding, meaningful work in a fast-moving environment.

About the Role

The Lead Advocate will act as a key support resource for the advocate team, helping guide them through the full patient-support process. Reporting to the Advocate Lifecycle Manager, this person will contribute to onboarding, training, day-to-day support, and the creation of content and workflows that help advocates better serve a broader range of patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use your own advocacy background to improve both the advocate workflow and the patient experience.
  • Run onboarding sessions for new advocates and help create a welcoming, high-quality first impression.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for advocate questions related to solving patient issues.
  • Work closely with advocate operations managers to improve operational processes and service delivery.
  • Build clinical resources and process guidance so advocates feel supported and patients can access the help they need.
  • Make sure the advocate team follows Solace protocols consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • An active, unrestricted license in a relevant health profession such as RN or LCSW is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in care management, care coordination, or a closely related area.
  • Previous experience as a Solace advocate is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort running virtual training sessions and contributing energy and confidence in group settings.
  • Strong skills in organization, verbal communication, and written communication.
  • Ability to adapt as the needs of a growing company change over time.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, high-growth, technology-driven startup and taking full ownership of work.

Eligibility

Applicants must be located in the United States.
