About the Company
Shangri-La began in 1971 with the opening of its first hotel, and since then it has focused on creating memorable guest experiences through warm, attentive hospitality. The company continues to build on that heritage while welcoming people who want to contribute to its next phase and help shape service rooted in shared purpose and Asian hospitality.
Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri in Abu Dhabi features 213 elegant guestrooms and suites, six private pool villas, and 161 fully furnished serviced apartments. The property also includes a one-kilometre private beach and combines contemporary Arabic-inspired design with a high level of comfort.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage the day-to-day work of the laundry department to keep the cleaning of linens, uniforms, and guest garments running efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organize daily laundry activities and coordinate the work of the team.
- Oversee the correct washing, drying, ironing, and handling of linens and clothing items.
- Track laundry machinery performance and escalate maintenance concerns without delay.
- Manage stock levels for laundry materials and keep supplies adequately replenished.
- Make sure laundry processes meet hygiene, safety, and quality expectations.
About You
You should have a solid understanding of laundry operations, fabric care, and cleaning methods. The role calls for a hands-on leader with strong people-management ability, a sharp eye for detail, and the capacity to stay effective when workloads increase. You should also be comfortable working shifts, including weekends and other busy periods, and maintain a polished appearance aligned with luxury service standards. Experience in hospitality is an advantage, and the role typically requires a High School Diploma or a Diploma in Hospitality Management.
