BaxterStorey is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join their team in Leeds. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform dishwashing duties for all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment, utilizing both manual methods and industrial dishwashers.
  • Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas, and managing waste disposal.
  • Support chefs and cooks with fundamental food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
  • Assist with the receiving, organizing, and storing of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized, and that all equipment is in good working order, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Physical stamina is necessary to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately are essential.
  • Basic familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is beneficial.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills are required.
