About the Role

Origami DIY is hiring a Junior Data Analyst at an entry-level stage to help with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data that supports better business decisions. You’ll work across teams to turn raw data into clear insights, spot patterns and trends, and assist with initiatives aimed at improving performance. This role is well-suited to someone starting out in analytics who wants practical exposure to business data and reporting tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather information from different sources, clean it, and structure it so it remains accurate and consistent.
  • Study datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and useful insights.
  • Build and update reports, dashboards, and visual charts for stakeholders.
  • Help business teams with data-backed recommendations and performance reviews.
  • Track KPIs and prepare routine reporting.
  • Check data quality and help resolve mismatches or errors.
  • Work with teams across the business to understand reporting needs and objectives.
  • Record data workflows, reporting methods, and key findings from analysis.
  • Assist with one-off data queries and business analysis tasks.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a similar field.
  • Foundational knowledge of analytics concepts and statistical techniques.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data handling.
  • Working familiarity with SQL for pulling and querying data.
  • Exposure to visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is helpful.
  • Basic understanding of databases and how data is managed.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Organized working style and good communication skills for presenting results clearly.
  • Prior internship, academic project, or experience in data analysis is preferred but not essential.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in reporting, business intelligence, or similar analytics work through an internship or project.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and databases.
  • Exposure to data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows is an added advantage.
