Role overview

Dynamis is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support a highly visible Homeland Security Investigations worksite enforcement mission focused on safeguarding the integrity of the U.S. labor market. In this role, you will work closely with HSI special agents on the Worksite Enforcement Unit, reviewing employment eligibility records, business documents, and government data sources to help drive investigations at both the national and international level.

This is a fast-moving, detail-heavy role where your analysis will contribute directly to enforcement tools such as Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other court-approved actions. The position also offers a valuable pathway into federal investigative work, with mentorship from experienced professionals and opportunities to grow into more advanced compliance and investigative responsibilities.

Key duties

• Review employer Form I-9 records, payroll files, corporate documents, and related employment materials to identify possible compliance issues and violations, while working directly with investigators.
• Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover irregularities, trends, and data mismatches that support active cases.
• Prepare concise, accurate, and well-supported case summaries, analytical write-ups, and findings that can stand up to review and support enforcement action.
• Assist with liaison work that helps connect domestic and international investigative efforts and partner organizations.
• Keep case files organized and current in line with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements, while helping surface possible violations of employment eligibility and worksite compliance rules.
• Create briefing materials and supporting analytical documents for site inspections, enforcement operations, and leadership meetings.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical and research abilities are needed, along with the capacity to review and summarize large amounts of documentation and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for producing analytical materials and coordinating with federal law enforcement teams.
• Experience with high-volume, accurate data entry from paper records into electronic systems, as well as database querying across law enforcement and commercial platforms, is required for reporting support.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and keep an ICE suitability determination.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Preferred background includes experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, and knowledge of Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify is a strong advantage.
• Experience with HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, especially involving sensitive or law enforcement-controlled information, is preferred.
• Familiarity with government databases or investigative case management systems will be considered beneficial.
