Role overview
CDM Smith is looking for an experienced ITS Inspector in the UAE to support active and future construction programs. The role calls for someone with a strong background in roads, utilities, bridges, and major infrastructure works, along with the technical judgment to interpret engineering requirements accurately in the field.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and track the installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems across road, bridge, and utility projects.
- Check that all work follows approved engineering drawings, local authority rules, and project-specific standards.
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to close technical gaps and resolve site issues.
- Document inspection findings and produce clear, accurate reports.
- Assist project managers in maintaining quality control and meeting delivery timelines for infrastructure activities.
Experience and qualifications
- You should have at least 8 years of experience in infrastructure inspection.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving are important.
- The role requires the ability to work on your own and handle several site-related tasks efficiently.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to working with contractors or consultants on large infrastructure assignments is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of local authority standards and approval procedures is preferred.
- A high level of precision and close attention to detail is expected.
- RTA or Dubai Municipality approval experience is mandatory; applications without this will not be considered.
Compensation
The offered salary is AED 8,000 to AED 9,500 per month.
