Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who can help keep internal systems running smoothly, troubleshoot technical problems, and support employees across local and global teams.
This role is very hands-on and involves helping users in person as well as remotely. A composed, professional, and empathetic manner is essential.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will handle day-to-day IT support, manage user administration tasks, and contribute to infrastructure and software projects. The position also includes maintaining documentation, assisting with server and networking setup, and supporting both internal teams and clients when needed.
- Deliver virtual and email-based support to internal staff.
- Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts and related administration tasks.
- Handle joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
- Carry out backup administration and testing.
- Record incidents accurately in the helpdesk system and resolve or escalate them quickly where needed.
- Create new IT documentation and keep existing procedures up to date.
- Support projects of different sizes, including infrastructure and software initiatives.
- Take responsibility for the efficient flow of support requests.
- Join client meetings and product or system demonstrations when required.
- Provide remote assistance to clients across any location.
- Install software, prepare desktop images, manage software inventory, and carry out monitoring tasks.
- Install and configure physical and virtual servers.
- Administer and configure Cisco networking equipment, including switches and firewalls.
Experience and Skills Required
Applicants should bring technical support experience along with strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A customer-first mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritise work independently are important for this role.
- Minimum 1 year of technical experience.
- Preferably at least 3 years in 2nd and 3rd line IT support.
- Professional communication and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Solid hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VMware, Hyper-V, and remote access tools.
- Experience supporting and configuring mobile devices, especially iPhone and iPad.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Capacity to understand customer needs accurately.
- Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
