Role Overview

ICF Group is seeking an Interior Designer in Singapore to contribute to interior fit-out and design delivery work. The role focuses on producing accurate design documentation, supporting material planning, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep projects moving smoothly and in line with approved requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create design drawings, construction drawings, 3D/4D visualisations, and other project deliverables that meet applicable project standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing Material Take-Offs (MTO) using design drawings, construction drawings, approved layouts, and project specifications.
  • Determine and measure the required quantities of materials, finishes, furniture, fittings, fixtures, accessories, and other interior fit-out components from drawings and specifications.
  • Keep MTO data correct, complete, and aligned with the most recent approved drawing set and design updates.
  • Work with Commercial, Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Site teams to resolve material needs, quantities, specifications, and any drawing inconsistencies.
  • Provide material quantity information and design input to support budgeting, procurement preparation, and project delivery.
  • Revise MTO records whenever drawings, designs, site conditions, or client requests change.
  • Produce graphic design work when needed.
  • Assist the Executive Designer in developing and refining the design.
  • Partner with designers, engineers, procurement, production, and site personnel to support efficient execution.
  • Maintain technical accuracy across drawings, specifications, MTO data, and all other design outputs.
  • Contribute ideas for overall concepts for new products or design proposals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory authorities where design clarification, material choice, technical details, or project coordination are required.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Designer or Drafter, preferably in the marine industry or landed project fit-out sector.
  • Hands-on experience with construction drawings, interior fit-out detailing, material schedules, and Material Take-Off preparation is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, or comparable design tools.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings, construction drawings, material specifications, and technical details accurately.
  • Familiarity with Material Take-Off preparation, quantity verification, material scheduling, and drawing revision control.
  • Good understanding of architectural materials, installation methods, and fit-out workflows; marine-sector exposure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in drawings, quantities, and documentation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
