Role Overview

A fast-growing company in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Human Resources Director to help shape and scale its people operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for an HR professional who enjoys owning recruiting, developing HR infrastructure, and working closely with leadership on both strategic and day-to-day initiatives. The position is ideal for someone who wants to help build an HR function from the ground up while contributing to culture, engagement, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end hiring for roles across the organization, with the goal of attracting, selecting, and keeping strong talent that supports business expansion.
  • Create, improve, and implement HR programs and processes such as onboarding, learning and development, performance management, and employee recognition.
  • Work with leadership to design workforce planning approaches that support company goals.
  • Oversee the performance and development cycle, while coaching and training managers to improve team effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, keep employee files accurate, and help reduce organizational risk.
  • Put workplace safety practices in place and apply compliance best practices that support employee well-being.
  • Handle employee relations matters and separations when needed, ensuring documentation is complete and risk is managed appropriately.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM or PHR is expected.
  • At least 7 years of experience in human resources, particularly in recruiting and talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience creating HR programs and processes within a growing organization.
  • Strong capability in training, coaching, and advising managers and employees.
  • Excellent organizational ability, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to balance strategic work with hands-on execution.
