Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for a People & Culture Coordinator supporting HR operations and employee services in a dynamic, fast-moving workplace. The role is based in Park Ave South, New York, with a hybrid schedule.
Compensation and Schedule
The pay rate is $29 per hour on W-2. The work arrangement is hybrid, with on-site presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep employee files and HR paperwork accurate and up to date.
- Help coordinate onboarding, staffing support, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Support payroll, benefits administration, leave processing, and employee questions.
- Review and process documentation related to employment matters.
- Prepare reports and maintain reliable HR records and data.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 2 to 3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a similar human resources function. Prior exposure to HRIS platforms is expected, with Workday being the preferred system. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are important. The role also calls for careful attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, strong communication, and good organizational ability. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent experience may also be considered.
