Role overview
This Human Resource Generalist role is centered on managing core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, strengthening compliance practices, supporting people processes, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. The position also involves working closely with employees, managers, and leadership to support engagement, performance, and recruitment activities.
Key responsibilities
- Handle employee lifecycle processes such as joining formalities, confirmations, transfers, promotions, leave administration, and exit procedures.
- Help ensure adherence to Indian labor legislation, statutory rules, and employment-related regulations.
- Coordinate compliance-related activities, including audits, records, supporting documents, and reporting needs.
- Act as a dependable HR contact for employees and managers on policies, procedures, and employee relations concerns.
- Assist with performance management tasks like probation assessments, annual review cycles, improvement plans, and related documentation.
- Plan and run initiatives that support employee engagement, wellness, appreciation, and culture building.
- Keep employee files and HR records accurate, updated, and confidential.
- Support HR dashboards, metrics, reports, and HRIS administration tasks.
- Work with leadership on employee relations issues and workplace investigations when required.
- Assist the recruitment process end to end, including sourcing support, interview coordination, offer letters, onboarding, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Contribute to HR projects and process-improvement efforts.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should bring at least 4 years of experience in human resources and a strong working understanding of HR operations, employee relations, performance processes, and compliance. The role also calls for excellent written and spoken English, strong relationship-building skills, and experience in a multinational or U.S.-based work environment. Familiarity with HRIS tools, especially Keka, is preferred.
Education requirement
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. The role also accepts candidates with a B.B.A. / B.M.S. in Human Resource Management or a B.A. in Human Resource Management and Development.
