About The Role
Our client is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join their team. This role is central to ensuring smooth operations and a thriving workplace culture, focusing on supporting the entire employee lifecycle with accuracy and care. It's a varied position where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the internal HR helpdesk inbox, responding to staff queries efficiently and supportively.
- Prepare and coordinate essential employment documentation, formal communications, and letters with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain up-to-date HR information systems (HRIS) and staff records, ensuring alignment with internal policies.
- Oversee the complete onboarding and offboarding processes for seamless transitions.
- Collaborate with the People team on transactions and new starter variations for payroll processing.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Experience: Practical, hands-on experience in a generalist HR support or coordination role, or a relevant qualification.
- HR Knowledge: A strong understanding of fundamental HR practices and New Zealand employment legislation.
- Capability: Exceptional organizational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels.
- Cultural Competence: Comfort and respect for engaging with multicultural workplace practices and language protocols, including pronunciation and cultural awareness.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and standard HR information systems.
- Eligibility: Must possess valid rights to work in New Zealand.
