About the Role

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join their team in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. This full-time, temporary position offers a 12-month contract with a rate of $20.25 per hour. The role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the casino facility, contributing to a positive and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conducting cleaning and sanitation tasks in both public and employee areas.
• Cleaning building floors, furniture, fixtures, and any associated equipment.
• Servicing, cleaning, and stocking restrooms with necessary supplies.
• Adhering to safe work procedures and health and safety policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.

What You Bring

• A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated high-level customer service skills.
• Proficiency in organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and various shifts.
• Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver house cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Good physical fitness to sustain a consistent pace of manual labor.
• General understanding of cleanliness and sanitation practices.
• Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
