About the Role
Noland Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join their team in Sylacauga, AL. This full-time, onsite position involves performing daily housekeeping activities to ensure the community is maintained in a clean and safe environment. The role requires adherence to established procedures and collaboration with management to provide excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily housekeeping tasks according to assigned duties.
- Coordinate housekeeping services with management, particularly when cleaning resident living and recreational areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of furnishings, fixtures, and heating/cooling units in resident rooms and common areas.
- Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures, removing water marks.
- Clean windows, mirrors in resident rooms, recreational spaces, bathrooms, and entryways.
- Perform wall and ceiling cleaning, including washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, and other residues from surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Properly dispose of waste and trash in designated containers and replace liners.
- Monitor and report supply needs to the supervisor.
- Ensure work carts and equipment are cleaned and stored at the end of each shift.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Ability to move consistently throughout the workday.
- Capacity to reach, bend, and stoop intermittently.
- Must be able to walk and stand for approximately 75% of the work day.
- Ability to push, pull, or move objects weighing at least 100 pounds with proper technique and assistance.
- Adequate vision and hearing, or the use of assistive devices, to fulfill job requirements.
