Detailed Overview
The Housekeeper will be responsible for a range of duties including sweeping, spot washing, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, and polishing various surfaces and areas within the facility. This includes cleaning floors, carpets, rugs, furniture, fixtures, windows, and client/procedure rooms. The role also involves disinfecting washrooms and showers, managing laundry for linens, collecting and disposing of garbage, and reporting any damaged equipment or fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, spot washing, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, and polishing assigned areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, carpets, and rugs through various methods.
- Clean, wash, dust, and polish furniture, ledges, fixtures, windows, and blinds.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect client and procedure rooms after treatments, including vacuuming, dusting, and washing all elements.
- Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of showers, toilets, and washrooms.
- Restock essential supplies like soap, towels, and toilet paper, and maintain organization in storage areas.
- Launder kitchen and housekeeping linens and mops.
- Collect and dispose of garbage from the building.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning fixtures, furniture, or equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Completion of Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in interacting effectively with others.
- Strong organizational and work prioritization capabilities.
- Competence in operating relevant equipment.
- Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the role.
