Role summary

As Hostess, you will welcome guests with professionalism and warmth, manage reservations and seating, and help ensure that every dining visit feels polished, personal, and smooth. Your presence will set the tone for breakfast service, à la carte dining, banquets, and tailored events. The role calls for someone who enjoys guest interaction, understands luxury service standards, and can contribute to a refined front-of-house experience.

Key duties

• Greet arriving guests with a polished, friendly, and attentive approach to create an excellent first impression.
• Coordinate reservations and table allocation to support an efficient and personalized dining flow.
• Accompany guests to their tables and help introduce the distinctive MGallery experience.
• Respond to guest preferences and special requests with care, flexibility, and attention to detail.
• Work closely with restaurant and kitchen teams to support service across breakfast, à la carte meals, banquets, and custom events.
• Keep the reception and hosting area tidy, elegant, and aligned with brand expectations.
• Address questions and feedback in a professional manner and turn each interaction into a positive guest moment.
• Maintain excellent grooming, hygiene, and overall hospitality presentation at all times.
• Stay curious and continue building your skills to deliver more personalized and memorable service.

Requirements

• Good understanding of HACCP principles and food safety requirements.
• Basic familiarity with food and beverage service operations.
• Strong commitment to warm, personalized guest service.
• Professional appearance, a courteous manner, and a positive attitude.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to connect well with guests and teammates.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Comfort working collaboratively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling practices.

Alwadi Hotel Doha is the first MGallery boutique hotel in Msheireb Downtown Doha, a major retail, commercial, and residential district in the heart of Qatar’s capital. The hotel includes 213 rooms and suites, a large ballroom, five meeting rooms, multiple restaurants, and an exclusive spa and swimming pool. It is suitable for both business and leisure stays, located about 15 minutes from Hamad International Airport and 10 minutes from West Bay.
