Job description
About the company
Franz Tölke GmbH designs, engineers, and manufactures custom special-purpose machines for the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. The company has been family-run and owner-managed for more than 60 years and is firmly rooted in the Oldenburger Münsterland region, from where it serves customers in Germany and abroad. Its culture is shaped by teamwork, short decision-making paths, and a commitment to safeguarding regional jobs for the long term.
Role overview
In this position, you will take care of building upkeep, support transport and warehouse tasks, and help maintain a clean and orderly work environment across the site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the company buildings and outdoor areas, and carry out minor repair work independently.
- Handle regular transport runs with the company van; these are day trips with return home each day, not long-distance haulage.
- Collect and deliver materials or components to and from partner companies as needed.
- Assist with internal warehouse activities, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Move goods within the site using a forklift or other material-handling equipment.
- Help ensure tidiness and cleanliness throughout the company premises.
Requirements
- Practical manual skills, ideally supported by completed vocational training in a trade such as locksmithing, carpentry, or electrical work, or several years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Valid driving licence category B/BE.
- Forklift licence preferred; if not already available, it can be obtained later.
- Independent, organised, and solution-oriented way of working.
- Reliability, a hands-on attitude, and a friendly, respectful manner with colleagues.
What we offer
- A secure role in a family-owned and regionally rooted company with no redundancy-related layoffs for over 60 years.
- Varied work with room to contribute your own ideas and put them into practice.
- High-quality tools and modern workwear.
- 30 days of leave.
- Company pension plan.
- Capital-forming benefits.
- Hansefit membership.
- Annual company events.
Additional information
The role combines maintenance, transport, and warehouse support. Transport work is limited to daytime routes with daily return; there is no long-haul driving.
