Job Overview
The Groundskeeper position is responsible for ensuring the building and its surrounding grounds are consistently clean, presentable, and welcoming. Key duties involve maintaining common areas and washrooms, performing regular cleaning tasks such as mopping and sweeping, and wiping down glass and other surfaces.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform landscaping and groundskeeping tasks.
- Manage snow removal during winter months.
- Collect and properly dispose of all garbage.
- Relocate furniture, including picnic tables, couches, and other items.
- Load and unload furniture onto trucks or carts.
Skills and Abilities
- Previous experience in landscaping is required.
- WHMIS Certification is considered an asset.
- Possess physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling loads up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Canadian Background Check.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
