Role Summary
This is a practical, hands-on position centered on the inspection, repair, and upkeep of generator parts and assemblies. The role involves dismantling and rebuilding generator units, rewinding stators and rotors, carrying out electrical and mechanical tests, and working from technical procedures and drawings. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, precision, and maintaining equipment reliability. The position is based full time on site in Dammam.
Key Duties
- Take apart and rebuild generator components and assemblies as required.
- Inspect generator parts to identify wear, damage, or performance issues.
- Perform rewinding work on stators and rotors with accuracy and care.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical testing to verify quality and function.
- Use blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to guide repair work.
- Follow established safety practices and quality requirements at all times.
- Maintain dependable equipment performance through careful repair and maintenance work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical knowledge of generator components, including dismantling, assembly, and rewinding operations.
- Hands-on experience with inspection methods, mechanical repairs, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed technical guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and a quality-focused approach.
- Clear understanding of safety rules and a commitment to following them strictly.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reviewing technical documents.
- Previous experience in a similar position in energy, power, or manufacturing is preferred.
- High school completion or an equivalent qualification is required; vocational or technical training in electrical or mechanical fields is an added advantage.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, team-based, and physically demanding setting.
- Willingness to learn and adjust to new tools, methods, and processes.
