Role Summary
This full-time, on-site General Manager position is based in Melbourne, Florida. The selected professional will be responsible for the overall running of the hotel, with a focus on financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement. The role requires close coordination across departments, strong operational oversight, and active leadership to maintain service quality and brand compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hotel’s daily operations and ensure smooth overall functioning.
- Oversee staff performance, development, and engagement across the property.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reviews.
- Monitor operational processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain compliance with brand requirements and local regulations.
- Work with different departments to meet business goals and performance targets.
- Build and sustain a service-focused, high-performance team environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in guiding teams and managing employee performance.
- Strong financial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing results.
- Solid working knowledge of hotel operations and food and beverage operations, along with brand standard compliance.
- Capability to design and execute initiatives that improve guest satisfaction and operating efficiency.
- Excellent communication, conflict-handling, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Hyatt standards is an advantage; however, experience with other major hotel brands is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of hotel leadership experience, including a minimum of 3 years serving as a General Manager.
