Job description

Role purpose

This position is responsible for end-to-end leadership of lifestyle club development, renovation, and daily operations for the assigned unit. The goal is to deliver an exceptional member experience, keep food and beverage operations profitable, protect and maintain the asset, and support long-term growth.

The role also requires strong operational leadership across major renovation and habitability work, coordination of cross-functional teams, and sustained engagement with members and residents in the existing club environment.

Key organizational relationships

Reporting to: AVP – Operations

Reporting roles: Operations Manager, F&B Head, Engineering & Maintenance Teams, Finance/Procurement, HR, Sales, Security teams

Interfaces with external stakeholders: PMC and contractors, kitchen consultants, equipment vendors, local authorities, auditors, resident associations, and strategic partners

Interfaces with internal stakeholders: senior leadership, business unit heads, procurement, legal, HR, operations, sales & marketing, and staff

Core responsibilities

The General Manager will be expected to maintain strong operational standards, guide teams, and ensure the club performs to premium hospitality expectations.

  • Manage daily club operations with a focus on consistent service quality, safety, hygiene, and the intended brand experience.
  • Coach and support Club Operations Managers so that operational, financial, and member satisfaction goals are achieved.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures, service benchmarks, and performance tracking systems across clubs.
  • Lead renovation and redevelopment initiatives, making sure spaces are ready for resident use and improved member activity.
  • Work closely with design, project, and finance teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality level.
  • Oversee the handover from project completion into full operational readiness, including member onboarding.
  • Use a strong food and beverage background to improve dining concepts, menu planning, service design, and commercial outcomes.
  • Build standout F&B experiences across restaurants, bars, banquets, and club events.
  • Improve the complete membership journey, from acquisition and onboarding to engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate teams across operations, food & beverage, engineering, and customer relations.
  • Develop a high-performance culture with clear ownership, succession planning, and structured training.
  • Manage large club teams and strengthen engagement, capability, and service delivery.
  • Own upkeep, maintenance, and lifecycle budgets across the club portfolio while maximizing capital and operating expenditure efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost discipline, and return-on-investment tracking.
  • Serve as a key contact for resident communities and investors, aligning operations with the club vision and service commitments.
  • Handle escalations, feedback, and governance matters with professionalism and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety regulations, licenses, and local rules.
  • Put in place risk controls, audit readiness, and asset protection practices.
  • Maintain ethical operations and protect brand integrity across all clubs.
  • Promote safe operations, infrastructure compliance, emergency preparedness, data protection, and preventive risk management.

Requirements

The role calls for a seasoned hospitality leader with broad operational exposure, strong financial understanding, and experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, hotel management, business administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in MBA, Hospitality, or Operations is preferred.
  • 12 to 18 years of progressive experience in club, hospitality, or luxury lifestyle operations.
  • At least 5 to 7 years in senior leadership positions overseeing multi-unit operations and sizable teams.
