About the Role

Aramark Canada is seeking a General Help professional to join their team in Meaford, Ontario. This role is crucial for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals within a military mess environment. The successful candidate will be dependable, possess strong interpersonal skills, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Job Responsibilities

• Setting up and dismantling workstations for service.
• Serving hot food items during designated mealtimes.
• Supporting the preparation of boxed lunches.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all workstations and customer-facing areas.
• Sweeping and mopping floors in walk-in storage, kitchen, and loading/unloading zones.
• Transporting trash from dishwashing, kitchen, and preparation areas to the designated disposal site, and cleaning kitchen garbage receptacles.
• Assisting with the receiving and stocking of incoming deliveries and supplies.
• Ensuring dishwashing and kitchen areas remain clean and sanitized throughout the shift, monitoring inventory levels and replenishing as needed.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including safe lifting techniques, knife handling, wet floor protocols, and oven safety.
• Participating in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, workplace inspections, and accident investigations as required.
• Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a food service setting, such as a kitchen, cafeteria, or restaurant.
• Must be able to obtain a Reliability Clearance Certificate.
