Job description
Role Overview
This opportunity is for a finance professional in the United States and is shared on behalf of a partner company that handles the application process and all follow-up steps. The role is positioned at the intersection of financial planning and business strategy, where you will turn complex financial information into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership. You will own forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across several business areas while working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting. The job calls for a mix of strategic judgment and practical financial modeling, along with the ability to convert data into a compelling business story. You will help strengthen financial discipline, improve forecast accuracy, and increase visibility into the key drivers behind revenue, margins, and operating expenses. In a fast-moving consumer products environment, you will also contribute to pricing decisions, cost reduction efforts, and growth plans. This is a highly collaborative position, and your analysis will have a direct impact on leadership decisions and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the financial planning cycle end to end, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans, while keeping all major functions aligned and giving leadership dependable financial visibility.
- Create and maintain financial models for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, and scenario planning, and keep refining assumptions to improve forecast quality.
- Examine business performance across customers, sales channels, SKUs, and product lines, with a focus on pricing, volume, trade spend, and the effectiveness of promotions.
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain teams to review cost drivers such as COGS, freight, manufacturing, and inventory, and support margin improvement and cost-saving actions.
- Prepare monthly reporting packs, dashboards, and executive summaries that turn financial data into practical recommendations for strategic decisions.
- Contribute to improvements in FP&A processes, reporting systems, and financial tools to make the function more scalable and efficient.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a similar discipline, plus 5 to 8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, or business analytics.
- Background in consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, manufacturing, or a comparable sector, with a solid grasp of P&L management and gross margin behavior.
- Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to work through large datasets and turn findings into useful recommendations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and planning tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, or Adaptive, as well as BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence non-finance partners and present financial insights clearly to senior leaders.
- Strong attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits
- Competitive pay of $120,000 to $140,000 per year, along with bonus potential.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage for employees and their families.
- Generous paid time off to support rest, recovery, and work-life balance.
- Paid parental leave and support for pregnancy-related disability.
- 20 hours of paid volunteer time each year to encourage community involvement.
- Flexible remote work and a collaborative, mission-driven culture centered on inclusion and impact.
