About the Internship
This internship offers hands-on experience working closely with the founder across multiple domains including product development, engineering, operations, and research. The intern will engage in building frontend features utilizing technologies such as Next.js 14, React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui. Backend duties include writing and debugging Supabase logic, with an emphasis on PostgreSQL functions and row-level-security policies. Testing is also a critical part of the role, using tools like Vitest, Playwright, and pgTAP. Daily workflow integrates AI tools like Claude Code.
Operational responsibilities entail onboarding animal shelters and rescuers to the platform, maintaining regular communication through weekly check-ins, assisting with new listings, and addressing product-related queries. Improving product discoverability via SEO is a key priority. The intern will also conduct operational and research tasks such as competitor analysis, user research documentation, process optimization, and rapid-turnaround projects assigned by the founder. Problem-solving and removing obstacles that hinder growth are essential aspects of the role.

Additional Requirements
- Practical experience with SQL, particularly writing and interpreting PostgreSQL queries.
