Role summary

This is a full-time Founder position based in Ibadan with a hybrid arrangement, allowing a mix of in-person collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The founder will shape the company’s mission, product strategy, and roadmap while keeping them aligned with user needs and market demand.

What you will do

• Set the overall vision for the company and refine it as the business evolves.
• Develop and maintain the product strategy and roadmap.
• Test and validate product concepts before full development.
• Work with engineering and design teams to coordinate product delivery.
• Define priorities and ensure the team focuses on the most important work.
• Lead go-to-market planning and execution.
• Connect with potential users, partners, and early adopters to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
• Support growth by expanding awareness and adoption of the product.
• Build operational workflows and internal processes.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning.
• Explore funding options and partnership opportunities.
• Help recruit and shape a small, high-performing team and healthy company culture.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience creating a strong product vision, choosing priorities, and managing a roadmap in a startup or early-stage environment.
• Background working alongside software development teams, with familiarity with modern product-building practices and core technical ideas.
• Strong capability in market research, user discovery, and customer development, including interviewing users and validating assumptions.
• A founder’s mindset with comfort handling uncertainty, testing ideas, and moving quickly through iterations.
• Good business judgment, along with exposure to or genuine interest in fundraising, partnerships, and revenue design.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience leading small teams and helping create a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable workplace.
• Ability to work mainly from Ibadan in a hybrid setup and stay organized while working remotely.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area such as Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent hands-on startup/product experience.
• Prior experience launching a product, startup, or side project is considered an added advantage.

Eligibility

Applicants should be able to work primarily from Ibadan in a hybrid model and should have the ability to manage their work independently when remote. Candidates with startup, product, or entrepreneurial experience are especially suited for this opportunity.
