Job description

Overview

An Auckland dealership is seeking an Automotive Technician who has current Ford training and certification. The ideal applicant will have hands-on, recent dealership experience working on Ford petrol and diesel vehicles.

What the role involves

  • Carry out scheduled servicing and more involved mechanical repairs on Ford vehicles.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Inspect vehicles thoroughly to spot problems early and assess overall condition.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all repair and service work completed.
  • Keep current with Ford’s latest systems, tools, and repair methods.
  • Work alongside service advisors and the wider team to support a strong customer experience.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep the workshop tidy and well-organized.

What we are looking for

  • Qualification as an Automotive Technician.
  • Demonstrated background as a Ford Automotive Technician.
  • Experience working on Ford diesel vehicles is required.
  • Ford factory training and certification is preferred.
  • Sound diagnostic ability and strong problem-solving skills.
  • At least 3 years of dealership experience.
  • Clear communication skills and a high level of English proficiency.
