The organization also supports children and families in need through projects aimed at developing their capacities.

Job Opening: Financier

SOS Children's Villages Albania is announcing an opening for a Financier position based in Tirana.

Role Overview

The Financier will be responsible for the financial administration of the Fundraising Department and the Shkodër Project. This includes overseeing income and expenses, managing compensation schemes (including fundraising staff bonuses), and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The role ensures compliance with Albanian legislation and organizational policies, while supporting management through financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Financial Activities: Manage and monitor the financial performance of fundraising activities, plan and track budgets, analyze campaign costs and effectiveness, and administer compensation schemes and bonuses for fundraising staff. Collaborate with relevant teams for financial planning and decision-making.
  • Shkodër Program Activities: Ensure the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project budget, manage cash flow, payments, and financial obligations, prepare financial reports and analyses for management, and support procurement processes and resource administration.
  • Financial Activities and Compliance: Ensure the integrity of accounting records and financial documentation, guarantee compliance with organizational policies and current legislation, and support audits and strengthen internal controls.
