About the Role

As a Finance Associate within the CFO Units, you will support ANZ’s financial performance by contributing to strategy, enabling better decisions, and helping maintain strong financial control and integrity across the business.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Auckland or Wellington.

What You’ll Do

• Provide support across a range of finance workstreams, gaining broad exposure and building capability across the function.
• Look for ways to improve processes, simplify workflows, and strengthen financial governance.
• Assist with financial modelling, analysis, and the creation of forward-looking insights.
• Approach business challenges with a broad perspective and work effectively with teammates.
• Develop productive working relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider organisation.

What You’ll Bring

• A strong interest in understanding how businesses are structured and a curiosity about industry developments.
• Commitment to an inclusive team culture and comfort working in diverse environments.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to connect with others and deliver key messages effectively.
• Good judgement and the ability to use data and insights to support solutions.
• The ability to build and sustain effective relationships with business partners.
• At least 3 years of prior experience in finance or a related field is preferred.
