Role overview
In this position, you will take ownership of the hotel’s housekeeping function and ensure that every area reflects top-tier cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. The job calls for thoughtful planning, strong people management, and smooth day-to-day execution so guest experience remains consistently excellent. You will help build a team culture centered on high standards, pride in work, and memorable hospitality.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the full housekeeping operation, including systems oversight, budgeting, forecasting, stock control, and execution of internal policies.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, service quality, and appearance across guest rooms, common areas, washrooms, offices, and meeting spaces.
- Work closely with property operations and other departments on renovation, rehabilitation, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Strengthen team engagement and retention through performance reviews, coaching, development opportunities, and recognition efforts.
- Make sure housekeeping practices meet health and safety requirements, especially in the handling and use of chemicals and cleaning products.
