Job description

About David AI

David AI positions itself as the first company focused on audio data research. Its approach treats dataset creation as an R&D discipline, aiming to build training data with the same level of care that AI labs apply to model development. The company’s goal is to accelerate practical AI adoption, with audio viewed as a key entry point because speech is natural, widely usable, and deeply human.

Founded in 2024 by former Scale AI engineers and operators, the company says it quickly gained enterprise traction, securing customers across major technology companies and AI labs within its first year. It also recently closed a $50M Series B backed by Meritech, NVIDIA, Jack Altman (Alt Capital), Amplify Partners, First Round Capital, and other top-tier investors.

The team describes itself as sharp, humble, ambitious, and closely connected, and is hiring across research, engineering, product, and operations to help advance audio AI.

About the Office of the CEO Team

According to the CEO, this role will work closely with him to support company growth, coordinate with customers, internal teams, and investors, and act as a strategic partner who helps shape decisions and understand how the business operates end to end.

Role Overview

As the Executive Assistant, you will provide broad support to the CEO and internal teams. The role centers on calendar ownership, communication management, travel coordination, and daily office operations. You will also contribute to cross-functional initiatives and team experiences that keep the company organized and moving efficiently as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver team events, offsites, and in-office activities.

  • Handle complex scheduling, calendar prioritization, and meeting coordination for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Arrange travel and related logistics for team members and prospective candidates.
  • Oversee everyday office operations, including vendor coordination, supply management, and maintaining an efficient workspace.

Experience and Background

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or in a comparable position.
  • Strong organizational ability with careful attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to determine when to escalate versus act independently.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • High discretion and trustworthiness when handling sensitive information.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and resourceful approach to getting work done.

Bonus Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar startup environment is a plus.

  • Access to FSA and HSA accounts.
  • 401(k) access.
  • Two meals per day via DoorDash, plus office snacks and beverages.
  • Unlimited company-sponsored Barry’s classes.

Compensation

The expected annual pay range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
