About the role
Bisnow is hiring an Event Manager for its Washington, D.C. commercial real estate media and event team. This position offers clear room to grow into more senior event leadership roles, including Senior Event Manager and Associate Event Director, with a strong emphasis on internal promotion. The role is based in the DC office at 1730 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036, and follows a hybrid schedule with 3 to 4 in-office days each week. It also requires willingness to travel monthly for quick trips to events in the Carolinas or Nashville.

Key responsibilities
- Handle on-site event operations for live Bisnow events across the DMV region.
- Confirm venues, AV, catering, and party rental arrangements ahead of time, even when deadlines are tight.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and venue teams in target markets.
- Prepare name tags and signage, and set up event registration before attendees arrive.
- Transport, set up, and remove event signage and materials before and after the event.
- Process on-site ticket requests and payments through Bisnow’s Square account.
- Support event sponsors throughout the planning process and ensure they have a positive experience.
- Assist internal social media, marketing, and sales teams with event photos, videos, and sponsor presentation materials.
- Coordinate with party rental vendors for stage, chair, and AV setup.
- Research competing conferences to help determine the best event dates and times.
- Work in a fast-moving, high-energy environment alongside collaborative event teams.
Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience in live event coordination or event management.
- A self-driven, entrepreneurial approach with strong discipline, organization, and ambition.
- A positive, energetic presence and excellent communication skills.
- Comfort working closely with a high-energy sales team.
- Adaptability paired with reliability and follow-through.
- Willingness to travel monthly for events outside the DC area.
