  • Keep course listings and faculty teaching assignment records accurate and current.
  • Work with course directors and program leaders to ensure complete coverage and policy compliance for evaluations.
  • Plan evaluation windows in line with academic calendars and course schedules.
  • Run evaluation tools such as CourseEval, or an equivalent platform, and resolve basic technical issues when needed.
  • Track response completion, follow up with students and faculty where necessary, and make sure evaluations close on time.
  • Prepare, manage, and store evaluation reports in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Share evaluation outcomes with course directors, deans, and other academic leaders in a timely and appropriate way.
  • Summarize trends, comparisons, and key findings to assist program review and decision-making.
  • Support accreditation and institutional reporting by collecting and archiving evaluation data properly.
  • Create institution-level comparison reports and long-term trend reports when requested by the Deans’ Office or Provost’s Office.
  • Act as the first point of contact for questions and support related to evaluation processes from faculty, staff, and students.
  • Train and guide faculty and administrators on how the evaluation process works.
  • Partner with the Provost’s Office and academic departments to improve evaluation systems and workflows.

Skills and abilities

  • Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle evaluation data accurately and report it clearly.
  • High level of confidentiality and professional judgment.
  • Comfort troubleshooting issues within evaluation systems.
  • Commitment to consistency, fairness, and institutional policy compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with varied stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, higher education administration, or a closely related field is required.
  • A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience administering course and/or faculty evaluations in a higher education setting is required.
  • Experience with evaluation platforms such as CourseEval, Blue, or similar systems is preferred.

Work environment and schedule

This position is based at a workstation in a positive, creative, and collaborative setting, where occasional noise or interruptions may occur. Collaboration may happen in person or through online meeting tools such as Teams or Zoom. The role is carried out in a professional office environment and regularly involves standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

The standard workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, typically from 8am/9am to 4pm/5pm. Some flexibility is possible, but availability during core business hours is required. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary. No travel is expected.
