Role overview
We are looking for a practical, experienced Engineering Supervisor to manage maintenance activity at a hospitality/facility site in Abu Dhabi. The position calls for a hands-on leader who can supervise technicians and vendors, keep engineering systems running smoothly, and uphold strong safety and service standards. Experience from hotels or facility maintenance environments is preferred.
Supervision and daily operations
- Oversee both internal maintenance staff and outside contractors.
- Track attendance, work output, and the quality of completed tasks.
- Plan and assign daily maintenance work and preventive maintenance activities.
- Carry out routine checks on equipment to confirm safe and reliable operation.
- Manage material consumption carefully and support cost control efforts.
Maintenance and reporting
- Handle scheduled maintenance as well as urgent repair needs.
- Inspect the property regularly and document any issues found.
- Make sure all maintenance work is completed on time and in line with club standards.
- Prepare and share updates on inspections, repairs, and ongoing maintenance work.
Team leadership and training
- Guide, support, and encourage team members in their day-to-day work.
- Assist with training initiatives within the department.
- Ensure proper standards for cleanliness, personal presentation, and uniforms are followed.
- Encourage compliance with fire safety, health, and hygiene procedures.
Compliance and additional support
- Take part in emergency preparedness activities and safety drills.
- Carry out other operational duties as assigned when needed.
- Maintain courteous and professional coordination with all departments.
Qualifications and preferred background
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in hotel or facility maintenance.
- Solid working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
- Background in preventive planned maintenance and scheduling work activities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and record-keeping abilities.
- Comfortable using MS Office and basic reporting tools.
IT and security awareness
- Follow all company IT and security requirements.
- Attend IT awareness sessions as required.
- Report any suspected security incident immediately.
