Role Summary

The Document Controller will support the project engineering management team by handling technical documentation, maintaining records, and ensuring that project information is accurately organized, controlled, and distributed in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves managing technical documents, coordinating document flow with contractors, clients, and consultant representatives, and maintaining accurate registers and filing systems. The position also includes overseeing document numbering, revision control, transmittals, and electronic storage to keep project records complete and accessible.

Additional Duties

Other responsibilities include checking document quality, preparing and issuing transmittals within agreed timelines, supporting work pack preparation, backing up electronic registers, and assisting the senior document controller and wider team with related tasks as needed.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field. Strong experience with document management platforms such as Aconex, Oracle Unifier, SharePoint, EDMS, and Procore is expected. The role also requires a solid understanding of document numbering, version control, and transmittal workflows, along with advanced MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. A minimum of 12 years of experience in document control is required, and a background in construction, engineering, or consultancy is preferred.
