About the Role
Mercury is a European specialist in construction solutions, delivering and coordinating large-scale engineering and construction projects for major global organisations. Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate the prompt circulation of project documents and drawings to the relevant team members.
- Follow established company procedures and working standards in all document control tasks.
- Administer the document control software, ensure users are trained properly, and support consistent system usage.
- Issue drawing transmittals and submittals to the client as required.
- Review incoming drawings and documents from lead consultants and complete the quality check process.
- Send back any quarantined documents to the original issuer for correction and re-submission.
- Maintain controlled document logs and related records.
- Support daily administrative work, help prepare SOPs, assist with training, and create documents as needed.
- Prepare various reports for project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Apply and monitor project naming conventions in line with company and project requirements.
- Track outstanding documents through weekly progress reporting.
- Update the master document register (MIDP) every day.
- Upload, manage, and maintain the O&M file on the project and transfer project information to the client platform according to requirements.
- Carry out any other tasks associated with the role.
Requirements
- Solid background in administration.
- Very good spoken and written English.
- Confident computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and organisational abilities.
- High standards for the quality and presentation of work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in construction or engineering is helpful but not mandatory.
- Prior use of document management platforms such as BIM360, ACC, Procore, or Asite is an advantage.
- Proactive mindset and a collaborative approach.
