Role Description

This is a full-time, remote position for a Document Controller at Petromiddleeastpetroleum. The primary responsibility is to oversee the creation, organization, and upkeep of project and operational documents, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory mandates. Key daily tasks include logging, reviewing, and distributing incoming documents, maintaining precise version control, and guaranteeing that all documentation is accurate, current, and readily accessible. The role also involves managing document workflows, tracking approval processes, and securely archiving records. The Document Controller will work closely with engineering, operations, and administrative departments to facilitate smooth information exchange and maintain consistent documentation practices.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in document management, including hands-on experience with Document Management Systems and digital filing methodologies.
  • Strong command of documentation principles and project documentation standards, with the capability to develop, review, and standardize templates and formats.
  • Proven experience in records management, encompassing the application of retention schedules, secure storage protocols, and controlled access for sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and providing clear direction on documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple document workflows and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Adaptability to a remote work setting, coupled with strong self-discipline and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in standard office software suites such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
  • Prior experience within the energy, engineering, or construction industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A relevant degree or certification in records management, information management, or a closely related field is preferred.
