Data Visualization Analyst

Job Summary

This role is focused on turning large, complex datasets into easy-to-read visuals and reports that help teams spot patterns, track performance, and make informed decisions. The position involves building dashboards and analytical outputs that clearly communicate business insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and support dashboards, reports, and other visual analytics tools.
• Convert complicated data into clear visual formats that are simple for business users to interpret.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and define important performance measures.
• Review data trends and translate findings into practical recommendations that align with business goals.
• Develop and update KPI dashboards used for both day-to-day and strategic reporting.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting and analytics outputs.
• Contribute to business intelligence efforts by presenting data in a way that tells a meaningful story.
• Prepare management-ready presentations and visual summaries for leadership teams.
• Document dashboard logic, reporting workflows, and visualization guidelines for future reference.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 1 and 3 years of hands-on experience in data visualization, reporting, business intelligence, or analytics.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL abilities for pulling and analyzing data.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Solid grasp of visualization principles and effective dashboard design.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills.
• Capability to handle several assignments at once and deliver within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Python or R to analyze data or automate reporting tasks.
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL workflows.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Background in building executive dashboards and business performance reports.
• Professional certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or business intelligence are advantageous.
