Job Overview

Fractal Analytics is seeking a talented Data Scientist with expertise in Generative AI to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and other generative AI technologies. You will be instrumental in driving innovation, from research and development to deployment and maintenance of AI-powered applications. Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design and implementation of advanced solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Exhibit proactive initiative by taking ownership and developing comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct thorough research and remain abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI and LLMs.
• Develop and maintain robust code libraries, tools, and frameworks to support generative AI initiatives.
• Actively participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality.
• Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, encompassing design, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams to harmonize messaging, contribute to strategic roadmaps, and integrate software across various repositories for seamless core system compatibility.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex challenges.
• Utilize excellent communication skills to foster effective teamwork and collaboration.

Primary Skills

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Possess practical experience in use case classification, topic modeling, developing QA systems and chatbots, enhancing search functionalities, Document AI, summarization, and content generation.
• Computer Vision and Audio: Demonstrate hands-on experience in image classification, object detection, segmentation, image generation, and analysis of audio and video data.
• Generative AI: Exhibit proficiency with SaaS LLMs, including frameworks like Langchain and LlamaIndex, vector databases, and advanced prompt engineering techniques (e.g., COT, TOT, ReAct, agents). Experience with cloud-based generative AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, and AWS Bedrock for various modalities (text, audio, image, video) is essential. Familiarity with open-source LLMs, utilizing tools like TensorFlow/PyTorch and Hugging Face, is also required. Expertise in techniques such as quantization, LLM finetuning (PEFT, RLHF), data annotation workflows, and efficient GPU utilization is crucial.
• Cloud Platforms: Have practical experience with major cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP. A cloud certification is considered a plus.
• Application Development: Demonstrate proficiency in Python, Docker, web frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask, and version control with Git.
