Role overview

An organization in the banking space, supported by a staffing partner, is looking to bring on a Data Scientist for a full-time on-site role in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build sophisticated NLP solutions for tasks such as text generation, summarization, and semantic search.
• Tune transformer-based models to improve speed, efficiency, and scale.
• Apply prompt engineering and model tailoring to strengthen AI outputs.
• Deploy AI systems in cloud environments and keep them monitored and optimized.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed AI into practical products and workflows.
• Process and prepare very large datasets to generate AI-powered insights.

What you should bring

• Practical experience with agentic AI and generative AI.
• Hands-on exposure to large language models such as GPT, Llama, PaLM, or similar systems.
• Strong programming ability in Python.
• Experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Understanding of transformer architectures, attention mechanisms, and reinforcement learning.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience deploying and optimizing AI models.
