Overview

The Data Applications Analyst supports MedCura Health’s organization-wide reporting and application performance efforts. In this role, you will help improve data-driven decision-making across a multi-site Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network. The position blends application expertise with advanced analytics to improve clinical service delivery, patient access, financial performance, and the adoption of newer technologies such as AI-assisted medical documentation.

What You’ll Need to Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience analyzing healthcare data or applications, ideally within an FQHC or community health environment.
  • Hands-on ability with SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms such as athenahealth/athenaOne, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, or Epic, along with telephony systems and AI-based documentation solutions.
  • A solid grasp of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder partnership skills.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret data from telephony systems, including IVR and VoIP platforms, to help improve patient access and call center effectiveness.
  • Pull and analyze clinical and operational information from the EHR to support quality improvement work and compliance-related efforts.
  • Assist with the rollout and integration of AI-enabled medical scribing tools, making sure they fit smoothly into clinical documentation workflows.
  • Work with finance and revenue cycle teams to examine billing, reimbursement, and budget-related data.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports in BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau to support leadership decisions and operational efficiency.
  • Validate data, investigate root causes, and track performance trends across departments.
  • Convert complex data sets into practical insights for leaders and frontline staff.
  • Protect data accuracy and help ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, IT, and finance teams to understand needs and deliver appropriate reporting or analytics solutions.
  • Take part in cross-functional work involving system enhancements, workflow redesign, and technology adoption.
  • Train and support end users on reporting tools and data platforms.
