About Us

GETEC ENERGIE GmbH provides comprehensive energy services to energy consumers, suppliers, and producers. As part of bp, GETEC ENERGIE GmbH was acquired by bp's gas & power trading international (GPTI) business unit in 2024, expanding bp's presence in Europe.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate our Data Analytics platform, primarily utilizing Microsoft Azure services such as Synapse and Databricks.
  • Oversee the integration, preparation, and delivery of data from various source systems.
  • Create scalable data pipelines and data models to support reporting and analytical applications.
  • Contribute to the expansion of modern reporting solutions, for example, Power BI, for different business units.
  • Actively participate in migrating existing on-premise solutions to the cloud environment.
  • Ensure high data quality, as well as the performance, stability, and availability of the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to establish a consistent and reliable data foundation.
  • Prospectively support the utilization of data for AI and self-service scenarios, such as data-driven analyses instead of traditional reports.

Your Profile

  • Possess a completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Have practical experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or data integration.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL (e.g., MS SQL, ideally also PL/SQL).
  • Exhibit experience with data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Ideally, possess knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Services, including Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Power BI.
  • Understand complex data architectures and be able to identify and consider interdependencies between different systems and data models.
  • Have experience in project work and independently and reliably manage work packages.
  • Work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Value teamwork and enjoy collaborating with various departments.
  • Possess excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
